BSc/MSc Theses (3/6 months) available on Crowdsourced Startup Ideas in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

We have collected exciting datasets on crowdsourced startup ideas in Germany to enable writing a thesis on topics related to:

  • Entrepreneurial ideation
  • Evaluating crowdsourced ideas
  • Entrepreneurial responses to crisis

Students will have the chance to:

  • Get close supervision to define and analyze an interesting research question
  • Explore unique datasets on crowdsourced startup ideas that emerged in response to COVID-19
  • Conduct qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis (based on the student’s preference) to extract novel insights on ideation during a crisis
  • Receive guidance on conducting data analysis and structuring the thesis
  • Develop advanced data analytics skills that employers look for in TUM Graduates

We are looking for students who:

  • Would like to start their thesis as soon as possible
  • Are fluent in German or at least have a very good understanding of written German (as the datasets are in German); strong English writing skills are a plus
