To support the founding and development of young technology startups, TUM and UnternehmerTUM have recently introduced the concepts of “Venture Labs”, startup incubators focused on specific technologies (e.g., medical technology, AI) or important future topic areas (e.g., sustainability) (https://www.tum-venture-labs.de/). Around these technologies/topic areas, sub-ecosystems are emerging within the wider Munich Entrepreneurial Ecosystem to facilitate startup and technology development.
