Lumora is building IoT-powered AI agents and digital twins to cut industrial energy waste in manufacturing (which contributes roughly 1/3 of global emissions). We’re pre-seed, supported by Carbon13 (venture builder at the University of Cambridge), and working on real deployments with real customers.
Two tracks you can join (or combine):
- Platform & AI: design the core software architecture and data backbone (OT-to-IT pipelines, time-series/event models, storage/database choices) and evaluate viable AI approaches for industrial utilities (robust forecasting, anomaly detection, hybrid physics-ML, constrained optimisation/RL).
- Digital Twins: build physics-informed digital twins for one ancillary utility system (e.g., compressed air, cooling, thermal buffers), quantify flexibility potential, simulate use cases (load shifting, peak shaving), and translate constraints into actionable parameters for the product/system architecture.
Details: 3–6 months, start flexible, small team (2–3), direct work with founders (not intern busywork). English & German required.
How to apply: Email Join@lumora.email with (1) your CV + a short note, and (2) your ideal start date and availability period. You can also apply as an individual or as a team.
