Company Summary: Meda is an AI-first healthtech startup founded by three TUM alumni (Informatics, Medicine, Management). We build AI-powered clinical documentation and billing optimization for German general practitioners. Production deployment at Avi Medical (25 clinic locations), private practices, and MVZs across Germany processing real medical conversations daily. All AI models are open-source and run locally (no external API calls).

Tracks:

Track 1: AI Platform Development Engineer Tasks:

  • Build REST APIs for clinical data processing and PVS/EHR integrations (GDT standards)
  • Develop automation systems for customer onboarding and workflow management
  • Create frontend features using React/TypeScript for medical professionals
  • Optimize data pipelines for healthcare data processing
  • Set up DevOps infrastructure (CI/CD, monitoring)

Tech Stack: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, React, TypeScript, Docker

Track 2: Data Privacy & Security Engineer Tasks:

  • Build GDPR automation (Data Subject Access Requests, deletion workflows)
  • Develop privacy infrastructure (anonymization, pseudonymization, consent management)
  • Create compliance monitoring tools (Privacy Impact Assessments, audit systems)
  • Implement security protocols (encryption, access control, breach detection)

Tech Stack: Python, encryption libraries, access control systems, audit logging

Track 3: ML Engineer - Medical Billing Intelligence Tasks:

  • Fine-tune transformer models to extract medical entities from German conversations
  • Build RAG pipelines that query billing code catalogs (EBM/GOÄ)
  • Optimize NLP models using real anonymized Avi Medical data
  • Create validation systems for billing code compliance
  • Implement active learning from doctor feedback

Tech Stack: Python 3.10+, PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain, Ollama, RAG, FAISS
