We are happy to announce that the most recent research related to “The Role of Meso-level Institutions on Informal Enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa” by Esther Salvi and Prof. Dr. Frank-Martin Belz has been accepted for presentation in a refereed Paper Session at 2021 BCERC Conference. The authors employ a qualitative research design to investigate the role of meso-level institutions such as social groups and their values, beliefs and attitudes to fill the lack of formal laws and regulations in rural Africa and legitimize the hidden enterprise culture.
