The Chair of Corporate Sustainability at the Technical University of Munich (TUM School of Management) is seeking a dedicated and motivated student assistant to support research and teaching activities. The position focuses on two main research topics: AI for Social Impact Measurement and Scaling Social Impact in Renewable Energy in the Global South. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) for a duration of six months, starting in February 2026, with the possibility of extension. The role supports activities within an EU-funded research project focused on developing an AI-based methodology to enhance social impact measurement for impact investors and entrepreneurs.
The research assistant will collaborate closely with project partners, including Leonardo. and the Impact Hub Network. Key responsibilities include organizing the project’s final product presentation event and contributing to the research, documentation, and publication efforts related to the project. Additionally, the role will provide support for research coordination and event organization at the TUM SEED Center.

Tasks include:
- Research:
- Supporting ongoing research on social impact measurement in renewable energy, particularly in mini-grid systems
- Contributing to related academic research tasks
- Presenting research findings at conferences
- Teaching:
- Assisting with minor teaching-related tasks
- Events:
- Supporting event organization at the TUM SEED Center (e.g., International Summer School, Annual Symposium, EU project final event)
- Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Engaging with academic and non-academic stakeholders
- Supporting communication and coordination activities within research and event contexts
Job qualifications are:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in management. However, candidates with degrees in sustainability, energy-related fields, or a combination of management and these areas will also be considered
- Interest in social impact measurement, AI, and renewable energy
- Strong analytical and academic writing skills
- Independent and structured working style
- Previous experience within the entrepreneurial ecosystem (at TUM)
- Excellent English skills in spoken and written form
