Prof. Henkel spends sabbatical at Harvard Business School

From February till August 2013, Prof. Henkel will spend a sabbatical at Harvard Business School, Boston. He will conduct joint research with Prof. Carliss Baldwin and Prof. Willy Shih. The focus of his work will be on innovation, modularity, IP, and value appropriation – that is, how firms can better profit from innovation by optimizing the architecture of products and processes with respect to intellectual property. Thanks to our new faculty in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship area, in particular Prof. Oliver Alexy and Prof. Christina Raasch, teaching and student support will continue as usual.
