EQUA
The EQUA Foundation has initiated and finances our Chair at Technical University of Munich. The aim is to place the area of family businesses more firmly in the focus of university research. The focus is on the entrepreneurial and social actions of entrepreneurial families. Therefore, in addition to the financial goals, the non-financial goals, values and emotional dimensions are also examined in particular. These have strong implications for family business practice, which has, however, been little reflected in research to date.
EQUA (EigentümerQUalifizierungsAkademie) is a foundation founded in 2001 by Dr Ulrich Wacker and based in Munich. As a non-profit foundation, EQUA is an independent institution that bridges the gap between research and practice. By supporting relevant scientific research projects and maintaining close contact with all relevant German-speaking universities, colleges and institutes, EQUA lays the foundations for helping family businesses and entrepreneurial families to meet their challenges and entrepreneurial families to responsibly fulfill their important role in the national economy.
